Beginning Driving Event – Merrie Morgan
Date: Saturday, Feb. 13
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $35.00 without horse,
$50.00 with horse including 45 minute lesson.
Lunch will be provided.
Description of Clinic: The
morning will be devoted to a hands on seminar
and demonstration going over suitability of the
horse or pony for driving;
training the driving horse; kinds of driving;
harness and harnessing; types
of carriages, etc. We will hitch and drive some
"school master" horses so
that participants who have not driven will get a chance to see what it
is
like. We will have
lunch at noon (provided) and look at some driving videos.
After lunch there will be 45 minute individual
lessons for people who have
brought their horses/ponies. Lessons will emphasize
the basics of carriage
driving. There will be a sound system so auditors can "listen in" and
ask
questions. We will
probably be in the indoor arena if the weather is wet.

WSS will be using the 2010 Eventing tests for our Combined Test on March 21.
The classes that will be 2010 tests will be:
