Susan has been training horses and people at the Woodland Stallion Station since 1992. She specializes in hunter/jumper and dressage (Training Level to Prix St. Georges). She has a very positive and low stress teaching style that focuses more on the progression of the student
than on perfection. Her style has made her much loved by her students, young and old. Many of her students have won year-end championships in hunters and equitation at the Sacramento Area Hunter and Jumper
Association series and the Shandoni Farm series. Susan was awarded Trainer of the Year for Region VII AMHA for 2004.
Susan has won numerous championships in Morgan Hunter, Morgan Jumper, and Dressage on Wintergreen Fortune and Wintergreen Don Diego. In 2003 Susan
and Fortune were the Prix St. Georges Dressage Derby winners in Vacaville, Ca
and High Score Prix St. Georges winners at the Velona Peoples Memorial at the Sacramento Valley California Dressage Society. They were also pictured on the front cover of Morgan Horse Magazine.
Susan provides intermediate and advanced lessons in Hunters and Dressage. She has trained and shown in Dressage through Intermediate
level and has more than 30 Morgan World and Reserve World Championships
in Dressage and Hunters.
In 2007 Susan graduated with distinction from the USDF "L" judges training program. She continues
to accept new clients and train Ann's Morgans for sale and show.
